New Year?s Eve festivities are already under way in some parts of the world. Here?s a sampling of fun ways people can celebrate the dawn of 2012 ? in the United States and beyond.
Xanadu, loosely known as a mythical home of the nine muses in Greek mythology, is the theme of the 20th anniversary of St. Louis?s First Night, a family-friendly celebration. In addition to taking in musical and dance performances, visitors can write a wish for 2012 and add it as a ?sprinkle? on a 12-foot-tall artificial birthday cake.
