Salt Lake City ranked 2nd worst-dressed in nation | ksl.com

SALT LAKE CITY? Polos are Utah's downfall, apparently.

A new poll by Travel and Leisure magazine ranked Salt Lake City the number two worst-dressed city in America recently.

"Male or female, there are only so many ways to rock a polo shirt," the article said.

The magazine ran an online poll asking readers to rank 35 American cities on such things as best nightlife, best burgers, best New Year's Eve celebrations, etc.

By a three-tenths of a point, Anchorage landed just below Salt Lake City for having the worst-dressed residents. Anchorage residents, however, rated themselves second-to-last, with Salt Lake City residents putting Utah's largest metro at the bottom of the rag pile.

Like Anchorage, Salt Lake City's lack of high fashion could be blamed on the outdoorsy life many of its residents lead, with skiing, hiking, and fishing just minutes away from the metro.

Salt Lake City did, however, rank as one of the top 10 quietest cities in the nation, and was also praised for its affordability and cleanliness.
