The Vice President of Student Services is responsible for the oversight of the Student Services Division which includes but not limited to Enrollment Management, Student Life, Financial Aid and other Student Support Services.

Minimum Qualifications:
Masters from a regionally accredited university;

Three years experience as a dean/equivalent or higher position in higher education;

Five years experience in student services or related area;

Ability to utilize appropriate computer software for routing operations;

Ability to quickly gain a working knowledge of the College's administrative computer system;

Strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated success in interpersonal relations;

Understanding and commitment to the mission of the comprehensive community college;

Demonstrated ability to manage fiscal and personnel resources, to establish priorities, and to provide effective leadership and direction;

Commitment to shared governance and participatory leadership;

Commitment to collaborate with all components of the College to insure student success.

Preferred Qualifications:
Doctorate from a regionally accredited university;

Specific Position Duties:
Performs highly responsible administrative work as chief student services officer and advisor to the President and Board of Trustees;

Lead a strong and transformative student services division that is constantly looking for ways to improve the college, while enhancing the college experience for our students;

Establishes and maintains programs and services in support of student opportunities for success and insures compliance with federal, state and local regulations;

Responsible for the organization and administration of the various student services functions of the College, including personnel supervision and long-range strategic, operational and budgetary planning for the area.

Develop new ideas for student recruitment and retention efforts. Staying abreast of new technologies and implementing innovative ideas;

Oversee and manage the student discipline process. Review and recommend policies, ensure student discipline follows policies, make decisions regarding student discipline and ensure due process for all involved in discipline issues.
