Job Description:
The University of Nevada, Reno seeks a Classroom Computer Specialist to join the Libraries' Teaching and Learning Technologies team. Reporting to the Manager, Instructional Technology, the Classroom Computer Specialist supports networked computers and various mobile computing devices in classrooms and other instructional spaces, as well as check-out equipment. The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain a high level of reliability in these computers as failures directly impact the teaching and learning process. Specifically, the incumbent will work with Information Technology staff to ensure that computers in classrooms work effectively on the campus network and are maintained in conjunction with campus-wide support initiatives. In addition, the Specialist hires, trains, schedules, and supervises Classroom Services' student computer technicians and deploys them to troubleshoot computing problems in classrooms. The position also performs some training of faculty and students in the use of these computers and computing devices.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and two years of professional experience directly supporting computers in a networked setting.
